The Nashua Northwest 11 Year-Old All-Stars captured the 2009 New Hampshire State Championship with an impressive 6-2 win over Nashua West. The win capped an 8-0 Area and State Championship Tournament run and catapulted the team into the New England Regional Championship Tournament in Oakland, Maine.

 

Northwest came out swinging in the bottom of the first grabbing an early 3-0 lead. Backed by continued stellar pitching performances from Ricky Constant, Spencer Bergeron and Brian Provencher; and a spectacular rally ending catch in left field by Andrew Dahl, Northwest was able to stop the streaking Nashua West All-Stars cold.

 

Brian Provencher was named tournament Most Valuable Player for his solid performance at the plate and lights out pitching.

 

Under the direction of Manager Dan Latham and coaches Nick Dahl and Brian Provencher Sr., the 11s earned the second Nashua Northwest State Championship title in as many years following the success of the 2008 12 Year-Old All-Stars.
